Rotational Molding Process

Mainly, the Plastic Rotational Molding can be classified into four different stages:-
- Loading the resin in the mold
- Heating and fusing the resin
- Finally extracting the product from the mold
Once the powered or liquid resin is placed in the frame, the charged frame is positioned into an oven and rotated upon a rotating two axis arm at a slow speed. The mold containing resin is heated, and the resin sticks to the frame’s internal wall until it is fully fused. The mold is then cooled with the help of a water spray or air or a mixture of both while rotating. This is to guarantee a slow drop in the temperature. After cooling, the mold is opened, the finished component is removed, and the mold is again filled with more resin for the next manufacturing cycle.
